When we imagine babies, we usually think of soft downy hair, that lovely baby smell, and how adorable they are. They seem like cherubs more or less. However, one mother in Australia found something on a baby monitor that gave her the creeps.
Elise Bannister of Australia found a photo of baby Finn on a VTech baby monitor she had recently installed in his room that made him look like something not human. The little one looks like a tiny doll while lying in the crib. However, not the good kind of doll. His eyes are wide open and staring into the camera and his eyes are glowing with a blue light making him look possessed.
“When I first started it up and saw that Finn was just silently staring at the camera like something from a low-budget horror movie I absolutely lost it laughing,” Bannister told TODAY. “It was hilariously creepy. I initially took the picture to share with a group chat of friends. I had no idea it would go this far!”
The mother further joked when she said, “On a related note, does anyone have experience with a good noise generator app? Everyone that I’ve tried so far is just layers of whispered chanting in Latin instead of white noise. It still puts Finn to sleep but I don’t like it.” She was referring to an exorcism when she said that the apps generate Latin chants.
She goes on to clarify later, and adds, “A lot of people are giving me legit advice here, which I appreciate but this was a joke. I actually use Relaxio and it’s really great.”
She continued the joke and posted another photo of her baby looking straight out creepy again.
Her post has egged other parents to share their snaps of their babies and some of the photos are just plain nightmarish. It’s hard to imagine that these little angels can look as demonic as they do in baby monitors.
In one instance, a mother had a scare when she saw another child’s face show up next to her’s on the baby monitor.
The mother’s post has gone viral and other people, including parents, have responded to it. The post has garnered more than 412,000 likes and has been shared more than 84,000 times.
One person said, “Congratulations on your bundle of demonic energy” while another said, “I HATE EVERYONE WHO LIKED THIS BECAUSE NOW I WILL HAVE NIGHTMARES. THANK YOU.”
Seems like baby Finn isn’t the only who’s going to give his mom some sleepless nights.
