Some incidents in life may be painful yet it leaves us with lessons that might help us value the gift of life. Actor and comedian Kevin Hart went through such a journey after a car accident left him with serious injuries. After going through a roller coaster of emotions and intolerable physical pain, Hart finally opened up about the experience that could have been fatal.

According to People, the 40-year-old star took to Instagram to share with his fans the misery he went through since the accident that took place on 1 September 2019. On 29 October 2019, the comedian shared an emotional video with a heart-touching message.

Hart spoke about the accident and how it changed everything for him. He began the voice clip by saying, “Basically, what you realize is that you’re not in control.” He continued, “No matter how much you think you’re in control, you’re not in control. At the end of the day, it can all be over, man.” The first bit of the video documented the crash and the strenuous recovery process. It showed Hart in the hospital and also had clips of him working out while swallowing the pain.

“You know, when God talks, you got to listen. And, I swear, life is funny because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the things that you needed most. In this case, I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down. You know, you’re moving too fast, you’re doing too much, sometimes you can’t see the things that you’re meant to see. But after my accident, I see things differently,” continued Hart in the voice clip.

The video then went on to focus on his family, kids, and friends. The comedian said he was thankful for their presence in his life. “I see life from a whole new perspective and my appreciation for life is through the roof. I’m thankful for my family, my friends. I’m thankful for the people that have simply ride with me and have been with me ‘cause you stood by me. My fans, thankful for all your love and support. So don’t take today for granted ‘cause tomorrow’s not promised. More importantly, I’m thankful for God. I’m thankful for life,” said Ride Along star.

He was also seen at the hospital talking to the doctors discussing his health. Hart then concluded the video by saying,” I’m thankful for simply still being here, the road to being a bigger and better version of me. Looking forward to an amazing 2020.”

The heartfelt message is Hart’s first post since the accident and has touched the hearts of people all across the internet.

Hart was discharged less than two weeks ago and was first spotted publicly on 21 October 2019. He was seen with Jay-Z and other friends at Beverly Hills hotspot Avra. He had also released an official statement through his attorney mentioning Jared Black and his fianceé, Rebecca Broxterman, who were with him during the crash. “I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery,” said the actor.

Though he is out of the hospital, it will surely be a long wait till he gets back to full-fledged work. “While he’s doing a little work here and there for the film, he doesn’t expect to be fully back to work until the new year,” said the actor’s attorney, Andrew Brettler. However, fans are happy to see him recover and they hope to see him back in good health very soon.
