For someone who has just lost someone they love, there are certain days that they start to dread—birthdays, anniversaries, special holidays—because those days are painful reminders of your loss, making you miss them all the more.
It’s been about four months since Beth Chapman passed away after her battle against cancer came to an end. If she were still alive today, her family would have celebrated her 52nd birthday with her on October 29, 2019, according to Us Weekly.
Even though the Chapman family didn’t get to see her turn 52, they still decided to take a moment to honor the memory of the beloved wife and mother that she was.
For Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, the grief has been extremely overwhelming after he lost the woman he spent many years married to. He paid tribute to the love of his life by putting up a short video of her and saying, “There will never be another like you. Happy birthday Beth! We ❤️you!” The video featured clips of Beth Chapman doing what her fans knew her best for, being completely in her element with a few clips from the show, Dog’s Most Wanted, as reported by People.
He also re-posted a previous post that was put up by his wife where she wrote, “Sooooo in love with this guy!”
But Dog Chapman wasn’t the only one in the family who honored Beth Chapman for the woman she was. Her daughter, Bonnie Chapman also shared an emotional message, celebrating her mother for the irreplaceable position that she had in her life.
With her late mother’s birthday just days away, Bonnie shared with the world some of the rare moments that she had spent with Beth, like the one they shared on Bonnie Chapman’s graduation day, also including rare photos in her post.
“I miss you every day. Your birthday is coming up, wish I could celebrate with you one last time,” Bonnie Chapman wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for being there for my graduation, now I’m so thankful I have that moment with you.”
Cecily Chapman also shared a touching message to celebrate her mother and wrote, “Happiest Birthday Mom I know you’re having the best party up in heaven ❤️ can’t wait for today’s event celebrating #ForBethsBirthday.”
The family has been going through an extremely tough time ever since the dreadful day where they sat around Beth Chapman during her final moments. Holding her hand was Duane Chapman, who said, “See you on the other side,” in a tweet he put up after his wife passed away.
While he has opened up about the emotional journey he has been on since her death, he also recently talked about how nobody will ever take the place of his wife.
“When your spouse dies, as a man, I mean as me, so generally probably everybody, you’re released from that obligation of being married,” Duane Chapman said. “So your mind and you go crazy. And then after a while, you realize that never will no one ever love me as much as she did. And I will probably never love anyone else as much as I loved her.”
When the time is right, he may have relationships, but he vowed that he will never get married again.
“What deal we said is I will never take ‘Beth’ off my chest, I have her name here. And I will never get married. And she said to me, ‘We are human, okay?'” the bounty hunter said. “And probably the same thing I’d say to her: ‘I know you’re gonna have a boyfriend, I hope you have 10, but don’t go fricking marry one, and say those words. Don’t you dare do that.’ I would say that, and she did say that to me.”
One thing that is helping the family and her hands is seeing her in Dog’s Most Wanted, reminding people, even family members, of the strong personality that she was.
Yes Baby Lyssa it is amazing to see Beth again she is now a drone. Like your daddy says. Bless your momma She was a hell of a fighter.
