Weddings are a dream for a lot of women. They plan everything for the big day and will do anything to make it the perfect day for their life. However, placing unreasonable demands and pressurizing guests to meet their plans may not sound very appealing to a lot of people. Much like this bride, who demanded certain things which got her a lot of flak on the internet.

According to the New York Post, a screenshot from an anonymous bride was shared on a Reddit by a user insanepeopleonfb. The bride said that they were planning a “24K” destination wedding in 2019 and wanted all her guests to partake in her extravagant celebrations. The woman then went on to describe the dress code required for the day as it was important to create “an incredible visual effect.”

The post then featured a surprising dress code for men and women based on their weight.

The bride asked women weighing between 100 and 160 pounds to come dressed in orange suede pants, Louboutin red heels, and Burberry scarves. For those women who weighed over 160 pounds, the dress code was black heels with black sweaters and pants. The bride further described the dress code for men. Those weighing between 100 and 200 pounds were asked to sport a purple “fuzzy” jacket, a soda hat, black pants, and glow sticks. Meanwhile, those who were more than 200 pounds were required to wear camouflage outfits and black sneakers.

Added to this, she asked them to spend at least $1,000 for a formal attire that would match with her upscale wedding. “Remember this venue is extremely upscale, and we want to be looking our absolute BEST, ladies and gents. If you look like trash, so will we. All jokes aside, we want you to invest in an outfit valued at least $1,000. This includes jewelry, accessories, makeup and hair… this wedding is 24k themed for a reason,” wrote the bride.

Strict dress codes were not just for men and women, children were also asked to follow certain guidelines. All kids were required to come dressed in red from head to toe.

However, these wedding guidelines did not go well with Reddit users. Many expressed their annoyance over the weight base segregation. “I’m glad I am fat. I would be invisible against a dark background, like the sea and starry sky. Oh wait… I would not go. She could politely bog off,” wrote one. Another person wrote, “I would tell her fuck off, I am already paying to go to Hawaii now I gotta spend $1000 and dress like a clown or be an unseeable as possible if I am not the perfect fucking body image? And I have to learn a fucking dance?” Other annoyed users called the bride an “appalling human being.”

According to People, the post which was initially posted on an Australian Facebook group was shared more than 9,000 times. However, it was taken down later.
